Mitzpe Fellows and Advisors carry the institute’s imprint behind their work. Designation places a fellow on the masthead alongside Israel Brief, Vantage, and the Dossier series, on the Speakers Bureau roster, and within Mitzpe’s institutional reach. The roster is small, the editorial floor is high, and the imprint earns its weight from both.

Fellow
Fellows produce occasional original work for the Mitzpe masthead — a Dossier, a Vantage contribution, or a piece carrying the institute’s imprint — at a cadence matched to the fellow’s capacity and the quality of the material. Fellows are named on the Fellows & Advisors directory and carry the institute’s imprint behind their work. The Speakers Bureau roster is open to fellows who want it. Fellowship is unsalaried. The designation is earned by the work the institute publishes behind.

Advisor
Advisors contribute practitioner expertise without production requirements. The track recognizes figures whose operational, institutional, or professional work informs Mitzpe’s coverage without requiring them to write under the masthead. Advisors may participate in the Speakers Bureau and carry no publishing obligation.

What qualifies someone

Mitzpe appoints fellows out of published or produced work in the institute’s coverage areas: Israeli security and the current war, Iran and the regional threat network, antisemitism, antizionism and lawfare, diaspora security, Judea and Samaria, and the Western policy environment. A long record in an adjacent field does not substitute.

Mitzpe reads what you have published — where it ran, and whether it would hold its place beside Israel Brief, the Dossier series, and Vantage. Two pieces that meet that bar carry more weight here than a long career alongside the subject. Early-career applicants are read on the same terms as everyone else. Mitzpe’s founding fellow published his first book at sixteen.

Fellows work from the institute’s editorial floor. Israel’s right to exist and defend itself is the premise every Mitzpe analysis proceeds from, and the designation carries that premise with it.
